About pickaru
Swipe together. Pick tonight. pickaru ends the "I don't mind, you pick" standoff: deal a deck of movies, shows, cravings or board games, everyone swipes, and you match on what everyone actually wants.
Made for deciding together
pickaru is for couples, friends and households who lose half the evening choosing. Everyone swipes the same deck on their own phone, votes stay private until the last person is done, so nobody anchors the group, and each person gets one veto. Just you tonight? Swipe solo for a shortlist.
Free, nothing to install
pickaru is a free, non-commercial hobby project that runs in the browser. Friends join with a six-letter code as guests, with no app to download. There are no ads, and your data is never sold.
Where the data comes from
Movie and show details come from TMDB, ratings from IMDb, and board game data from BoardGameGeek. pickaru uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
